Last year, a mass
stranding of whales occurred in the Bahamas shortly after an acoustic
test was conducted there by the US Navy. The navy reported to the Media
that there was
no connection whatsoever between their test and the whale deaths. Here
is an independent
report of that stranding conducted by the respected biologist Ken Balcomb
of the Friday
Harbor Whale Museum who was in the Bahamas at the time. He likens this
sonar testing by
the US Navy to "an acoustic holocaust that can be likened to fishing
with dynamite.
" Please take a moment to read his disturbing evidence of the harm
this sonar has already
done -- and will in the future, if it is not fully researched or stopped.

Moonshadows Restaurant
Heart Magic together with Greenpeace and ECO, The Earth Communications
Office, put on an event at the Moonshadows restaurant in Malibu. The evening
was well attended by celebrity friends of Heart Magic including Dennis
Hopper, Billy Zane, Charlize Theron, Stuart Townsend, Dominic Keating,
John Billingsly, Cary Elwes, Ed Begly and others. We gathered to talk
about renewable energy and the Clean Energy Now Campaign. It was an opportunity
for people to remind them selves of the great work that Greenpeace has
done for the environment for the last thirty years. ECO shared some of
their awe inspiring PSA work as did Eski Thomas and Julien Temple. The
dynamic duo from England recently completed two wonderful two minute films
called Wind and Ancient Forests. The verdict on the evening...."We
had a wonderful and inspiring time...what can we do to help?"....
