ONE DECLARATION PROJECT Children of the Earth, Humanity needs help in caring for Mother Earth. As a collective we have been irresponsible inhabitants of our precious home for too long. Here in Australia the health of Mother Earth is directly reflected in the poor health of its Indigenous people. Indigenous Australians have keys to help us all become responsible caretakers. I implore you, help us help our people; this is a call for unity! We are asking you to help three Aboriginal brothers, their family and friends to unify all the Aboriginal Nations of Australia, of which there are over five hundred and all other interested people, for the preservation of our Mother Earth on behalf of our future generations. One Spirit – One Mob, One Planet, One reason for Unification – Mother Earth. Time has proven Indigenous Australians to be responsible caretakers. 176, 000 years of a culture based on interconnectedness, love and respect for all things. Indigenous people all over Australia are feeling the devastating effects of 217 years of war, ignorance, institutionalized racism and disrespect. Once again the hand of peace is being offered by Indigenous Australians, not just for our immediate relations but for all our relations, our human family. Even the rich and powerful will have no where to live if we continue to devastate the natural world…I ask you again… help us help each other. Unity B-us! It’s really simple. Three Moorawarri men are standing up for their beliefs. We will be travelling the entire country in the Unity Bus with a simple document based on one point; taking care of Mother Earth.
We are inviting the Elders of every Aboriginal Nation to sign the One Declaration document and to place their hand print on the bus, honouring the new and the old ways of signing. Also, anyone can sign the document, no matter what your origin… we all belong to the same Mother. This is a call for us to go beyond our individual, political, religious and racial differences and recognize the one thing that irrevocably binds us together, Mother Earth It is envisioned that eventually this document will travel the entire globe uniting the peoples of the earth.
